The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, giving candidates a brief opportunity to fix errors in their application forms. The facility will open on December 1 and close on December 2, after which all changes will be final.
Limited Opportunity to Edit Applications
Candidates can log in with their application number and password on jeemain.nta.nic.in to make corrections. Any updates affecting the exam fee will require candidates to pay the revised amount. NTA has clarified that the registration deadline of November 27 will not be extended.
Details That Cannot Be Changed
Certain key fields will remain locked to ensure data authenticity. Candidates cannot modify their registered mobile number, email ID, permanent or present address, emergency contact details, or uploaded photograph.
Editable Information
Applicants can update specific personal and academic details such as name, parents’ names, Class 10 and 12 records, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, PwD status, and signature.
They can also revise exam centre choices, switch the medium of the exam, select the desired paper (Paper 1 for BE/BTech, Paper 2 for BArch/BPlanning), and correct identity details if they did not register using Aadhaar.
Exam Schedule for JEE Main 2026
The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions:
- Session 1: January 21–30, 2026
- Session 2: April 2–9, 2026
The exam continues to follow the same structure with Paper 1 for BE/BTech aspirants and Paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning aspirants.
