Jaipur: Tragedy struck when a 23-year-old Malayali student was found dead in her hostel room at Sri Ganganagar Government Veterinary College in Rajasthan. The deceased has been identified as Pooja, a native of Kavinmoola Midavilod Parvathy Nivas, Chakkarakkal, Kannur.
Pooja, who was a third-year veterinary student, was found hanging in the college hostel on the night of November 28, 2025. The reasons behind the incident remain unclear.
The student’s body was brought back to her hometown and cremated at Payyambalam on Monday morning. Pooja was the only daughter of Sindhu, a teacher at AES English Medium School, Ancharakandi, and Vasanthan, an auto driver from Kollanchira.
Authorities are yet to release further details about the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
