70 Keralite Students Evacuated from Border States, Reach Delhi Amid Escalating Tensions

Keralite students arrive at Kerala House in New Delhi amid evacuation from conflict-hit border areas.

Amid rising hostilities between India and Pakistan, 70 students from Kerala studying in central and state-run universities located in the border regions have safely reached Kerala House in New Delhi. This development was confirmed in an official statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Saturday.

The students, who were residing in conflict-sensitive areas across Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and Rajasthan, have been brought to the national capital as a precautionary measure in light of escalating security threats, including aerial attacks reported from the Pakistani side.

The Kerala government has assured that arrangements are being made for their immediate transportation to their home state through flights and trains. This step is part of the state’s broader efforts to safeguard Malayali residents amid the ongoing conflict.

In response to the crisis, the government has activated round-the-clock control rooms to assist Keralites in vulnerable areas. Helplines have been established to ensure real-time communication and support.
