New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) closes the Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child today, November 20, 2025. Eligible students who passed Class 10 with at least 70% marks can apply online through the official website cbse.gov.in.
This scholarship is available for single girl children who have qualified Class 10 in 2025 from a CBSE-affiliated school and are now enrolled in Class 11.
The renewal portal for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 has also been extended until today. Verification for both new applications and renewals will be completed by November 20, 2025.
Under the CBSE Merit Scholarship Program, deserving single girls — who are the only child of their parents, have scored at least 70% in Class 10, and are studying in Classes 11 or 12 — are eligible for financial assistance.

- Visit cbse.nic.in and select “Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2025 REG.”
- Click the link for the scholarship application.
- Choose between a new application or a renewal.
- Select SGC-X for the chosen option.
- Fill out the application form and upload the required supporting documents.

Eligibility Criteria
