Samsung is selling with Galaxy Fold in various markets including India. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer is launching the Samsung W20 5G foldable phone today in China. This is a rebranded version of the Galaxy Fold with Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and 5G connectivity. Considering India is still not 5G ready the W20 5G foldable phone may not head to the country. At least until 5G is fully functional in India.
Ahead of the launch, the W20 5G foldable phone was spotted in TENNA website with all the key specs. The certification website suggested that the W20 5G foldable phone will come with a 4.6-inch screen on the cover – similar to the Galaxy Fold.
The certification site further reveals that the W20 5G foldable phone will come with a smaller battery when compared to the Galaxy Fold. The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a 4,380mAh battery but the TENNA listing reveals that the upcoming W20 5G foldable phone will come with 4,135mAh battery. Samsung is yet to reveal the battery specs of the W20 5G foldable phone.
Samsung has confirmed that the W20 5G foldable phone will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus that is most powerful chipset from W20 5G foldable phone right now. The upcoming Realme X2 Pro will also come with Snapdragon 855 Plus. The Realme phone is launching in India tomorrow, on November 20.
As far as the design is concerned the W20 5G foldable phone will look almost like the Galaxy Fold. It other words, when folded the W20 5G foldable phone can be used as a normal smartphone while when unfolded the device turns into a tablet.
