The victim, identified as Sachin Sharma from Bandikui, Rajasthan, was admitted to the hospital’s Trauma Centre following severe injuries sustained in a road accident.
During the course of his treatment at the hospital, Sachin Sharma encountered a grave error – a ward boy at the Trauma Centre mistakenly transfused O-positive blood instead of the required AB-positive blood. This critical mistake led to complications in both of Sachin’s kidneys, ultimately resulting in his untimely demise due to alleged negligence on the part of the hospital staff.
SMS Hospital Superintendent, Achal Sharma, expressed deep concern over the incident, acknowledging that the matter surfaced during Sachin’s treatment at the hospital.
