Jasmin Bhasin, known for her roles in popular TV shows like “Dil Se Dil Tak,” recently shared a deeply emotional tribute to her close friend and co-star, Sidharth Shukla, whose sudden passing left her devastated.
Recalling the moment she learned about Sidharth’s demise while traveling from Kashmir to Mumbai, Jasmin expressed how the news shook her to the core. “The news came out, it was shocking. I was in Kashmir. I didn’t have internet or cellular network,” she revealed. “But the moment I landed in Mumbai, I became numb. I was numb for many days. He was gone. I couldn’t accept the fact that he was actually gone.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Jasmin tearfully reflected on how Sidharth’s death taught her a profound life lesson about the unpredictability of life. “His death taught me the biggest lesson of life, that nothing is permanent,” she said. “Toh waqt rehte sare gile shikwe door kar lene chahiye kyunki waqt ka kuch pata nahin. The person is gone but you live with the pain and regret that kash baat karliya hota.”
Describing Sidharth as her “biggest cheerleader” during their time together on the sets of “Dil Se Dil Tak,” Jasmin emphasized how he supported and motivated her throughout. “He was my best friend on the set. We would eat together; we would go out together after the pack-up,” she reminisced. “It was a beautiful time.”
Despite their share of misunderstandings, Jasmin spoke fondly of Sidharth’s character, especially his respect for women. “I have always respected him for the man he was,” she affirmed.
