Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on his 74th birthday, marking his first trip to the state since attending Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s swearing-in on June 12. During the visit, PM Modi will launch the Subhadra Yojana, a significant women-centric initiative by the Odisha government. This program aims to provide financial support to eligible women across the state.

The Subhadra Yojana, named after Goddess Subhadra, is designed to benefit women aged 21-60 years. Each eligible woman will receive ₹50,000 over five years, disbursed in annual installments of ₹10,000 directly to their bank accounts. The scheme is expected to cover over 1 crore women.

In addition to launching the Subhadra Yojana, PM Modi will initiate fund transfers for more than 10 lakh women. He will also lay the foundation stones for railway projects worth ₹2,800 crore and national highway projects valued at over ₹1,000 crore.

PM Modi will also oversee the release of the first installment of assistance for around 10 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). This will be part of the Griha Pravesh (housewarming) celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries from both rural and urban areas.

The visit will include the launch of the Awaas 2024 App, which aims to survey additional households for PMAY-G. PM Modi will also introduce the operational guidelines for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 during his visit.

This comprehensive agenda underscores the government’s commitment to advancing infrastructure and social welfare programs in Odisha. PM Modi’s birthday visit thus doubles as a significant milestone for the state’s development projects.

Overall, the visit highlights the ongoing efforts to enhance public services and provide critical support to various communities. The range of projects and initiatives being inaugurated reflects the government’s focus on both immediate needs and long-term development goals.

By combining ceremonial and practical elements, PM Modi’s visit aims to reinforce the impact of these initiatives on the ground. The execution of these projects will be closely watched for their potential benefits to the local population.

As Odisha prepares for the implementation of these programs, the Prime Minister’s visit is expected to bring significant attention and resources to the state. His presence is likely to boost morale and ensure the successful rollout of these key projects.

With these developments, Odisha is poised to experience a notable transformation in its infrastructure and social welfare landscape. The state’s residents eagerly await the tangible benefits from the projects and initiatives launched during PM Modi’s visit.
