The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially opened applications for the General Duty (GD) constable recruitment 2025. Aspiring candidates can now apply for over 39,000 constable positions through the SSC official website, ssc.gov.in. The registration deadline for the SSC GD 2025 constable recruitment is October 14.
The SSC GD 2025 constable examination is scheduled to take place between January and February of the upcoming year. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 39,481 vacancies across various security forces.
Successful candidates will be appointed as constables (general duty) in several key agencies, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF). Additionally, there will be positions for Rifleman (General Duty) in the Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
The selection process for SSC GD 2025 will consist of four stages: a computer-based test (CBT), physical efficiency test (PET), physical standard test (PST), and a medical examination. These stages are designed to assess both the technical and physical capabilities of the applicants.
For candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and women, the application fee is waived. Other candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 100.
