If the new tax policies are to be embraced by the government then the scope and moderation of the rates under C and E could be increased greatly thereby promoting aggregation. However, it is the rising cost of own prices that seem to become a great concern for many of the citizens of India. The section of 80 C and 24 that provide exemptions to taxpayers can limit set off amount but with the expected changes, affordability will be reached.

The burden of home loans has been exacerbated due to the increase in the interest rate, as observed, but those borrowers in long term contracts have been hit the hardest. By broadening the applicability of tax relief without extending the debt for additional periods, however, it may be feasible.
